"Success, like the holiday season, is best when shared. Take a moment to celebrate your wins and the people who made them possible."- Anonymous
Hi there
As we step into the final stretch of the year, we're celebrating another incredible journey with you. The 20th December marks our last working day for 2024 and we’re signing off with hearts full of gratitude and excitement for what’s to come.
In this edition, our CEO reflects on a challenging yet rewarding year, celebrating client resilience, DVA's achievements through tax efficiencies, and recognition at industry awards, while expressing gratitude and optimism for 2025.
Thank you for your trust and partnership throughout the year. We wish you a bright and festive holiday season filled with sunshine, joy, and relaxation. Here's to a fantastic New Year!
Wrapping up 2024: A Message from Our CEO
Wrapping the 2024 calendar year up, it’s been a memorable one.
What we’ve seen from most of our clients is enough business acumen, tears and toil to weather the storm and economic headwinds and set themselves up for the 2025 year. There is still plenty of water to go under the bridge economically and some risks geopolitically, but the wheels of commerce seem to be turning.
Here’s to a nice break and the tide turning in your favour in 2025.
On the DVA front a couple of highlights we’d like to share, firstly we were able to help our clients who were impacted remain efficient with the change in the Trust Tax Rate (not having old profits taxed at the new rate). Our estimates are that $2.5 million was saved, leaving that money in business owners hands to keep team employed, invest in new team and equipment, stay on top of debt, and hopefully take a well-earned break.
Secondly, my business partner Justin Wong taking home the Advisor of the Year at the GAP Awards. DVA was also a finalist of Most Innovative and Advisory Firm of the Year. We’re not perfect but we’re always trying to get better. Your feedback has been fantastic in helping us improve our current services and bringing you new ones toMaximise your returns, Minimise your tax and Free up the time do the things you love. Thank you very much.
To that end all the best from myself and the DVA team.
Looking forward to seeing you in the new year.
Matt Vincent, CEO

This year, the team celebrated Christmas in style at the picturesque Bracu Estate. Swapping workpapers for adventure, we embraced a day of clay target shooting, knife throwing, air rifle practice, and frisbee golf—even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits!
It was a perfect balance of fun and camaraderie, bringing our team closer together outside the office. From standout performances to heartfelt reflections on the value of taking a break, the day was full of laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories. Read more on the blog post below.
