Family Boost

FamilyBoost Payment

Finance Minister Nicola Willis announced a new credit called FamilyBoost to aid hardworking families with early childcare education (ECE) costs. The scheme will offer parents and caregivers partial reimbursement of up to 25% of their weekly ECE fees, with a maximum reimbursement of $75 per week. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families facing rising living costs, particularly in housing, food, and childcare.
Eligibility extends to all families earning up to $180,000 with childcare costs, with a gradual reduction in maximum repayment for those earning over $140,000.

Families are advised to start collecting invoices from 1 July, with applications opening on Budget Day, 30 May 2024, and refunds expected to begin in October 2024.
More details about FamilyBoost, including how to apply for it will be available on Budget Day – 30 May 2024.

Why transition to eInvoicing?

With the government's initiative to increase the use of eInvoicing among small businesses, it's important to know how to begin transitioning if you're new to eInvoicing. Resources are available at the eInvoicing site to assist and guide you in setting up.

By transitioning to eInvoicing, businesses can streamline their operations, eliminate manual errors, and automate their invoicing process. This not only enhances efficiency but also minimises delays in payments and reduces the likelihood of payment issues. Ultimately, eInvoicing makes it faster and more convenient to receive payments, allowing businesses to focus on growth and success.

If you're a business owner looking to streamline your invoicing process and improve efficiency, DVA is here to assist you in setting up eInvoicing with Xero. Our team of experts can guide you through the setup process, ensuring that you can quickly and easily send out invoices and receive payments.
